Hyun Woo and Kim Min Ji look forward to MCing “Music Bank”

The two newcomers to KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” met with reporters on the morning of December 2nd to officially introduce themselves as the music program’s MCs.

Hyun Woo and Kim Min Ji stated, “We feel pressured since former MCs Song Joong Ki and Seo Hyo Rim did so well. We’re also worried about whether we’ll be able to do as well as them.”

Hyun Woo commented, “There might be a few mistakes, but I’m going to be working hard alongside Kim Min Ji to lead the show in a fun light. I’m personally friends with Joong Ki, so I heard a lot of great advice. He supported me by saying that it’s all my luck, even if I’m nervous.”


Hyun Woo continued, “‘Music Bank’ is such a widely known program, and the MC position was a position I’ve always dreamed of. I’ll do my best to make sure not to disappoint.”


Kim Min Ji added, “I’m 19 years old now and the show is highly popular amongst teens. It’s an honor to be able to MC for such a program. I’ll be able to spend the last year of my teens with this program.”

The PD of the show, Kwon Jae Young, revealed his reasoning behind choosing to cast the two MCs. ”I came across Hyun Woo while watching the drama, ‘Pasta’, and thought to myself that he’d be good at variety programs. I met with about 20 different candidates, but I knew he was the one the moment I saw him. Both of them are talented singers as well. We have prepared a special duet stage for them for the episode to air on December 3rd.”
