Super Junior wants the world to see Super Show 4

The Super Junior members were in Singapore this past weekend for the Singapore leg of their Super Show 3 concert tour and it finished off successfully with 20,000 fans going home delighted.

Before the second concert in Singapore yesterday, the members had a press conference with the local media where they expressed their desire to bring the next edition, Super Show 4, to cities outside of Asia. Since the beginning of their Super Show concert tour begun back in 2008, the extravaganza has been confined to mainly east and southeastern countries in Asia.

“The prolific group has plans to bring a brand new Super Show 4 showcase to the rest of the world after the release of their fifth album this year“, so says band leader Leeteuk, 27, when asked to share the group’s plans and goals for 2011.

“We won’t restrict it [Super Show 4] to only Asia“, he smilingly adds, during an interview with Xin MSN yesterday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Leeteuk and Heechul were also asked about the minor accident they got into. “As long as my fans are fine, we are fine,” Heechul coolly replied, grinning from ear to ear. Leeteuk chimed in, “In the future, for security reasons, we want fans to be careful and take care of themselves too.”

The Super Junior boys will regroup again next month for the Japan leg of their Super Show 3 concert tour from February 18 – 20th, and they will also head to the Philippines, Taiwan, and Malaysia in the coming months before ending in Vietnam on May 7th.

SeeYa says goodbye on Inkigayo

Much-loved ballad trio SeeYa greeted their fans with a final farewell and formally disbanded after their performance on the January 30th episode of SBS’s “Inkigayo.”

The group first debuted in 2006 and have been loved for their outstanding and impressive vocal talent for the five years they were active. Their hit songs, such as “Woman’s Scent,” “Love’s Greeting,” and “Shall We Get Married“, managed to gather a fanbase larger than what most idols are capable of.

The group has certainly experienced a fair share of highs and lows, and the members will be going their separate paths on an amicable note, especially after Nam Gyuri rejoined the group for this final album promotion, having left earlier under acrimonious circumstances.

SeeYa’s original trio stated, “We pledged to not look sad in front of our fans, to not cry, to not look weak, and to confidently do our best until the very end before we went up on stage. It’s so sad thinking that this is SeeYa’s final goodbye stage, but we only want to show fans our smiling side. I honestly thought I’d cry, but I tried to remember the happy moments I had with SeeYa in order to avoid crying.”

Core Contents Media commented, “This March, their contracts will expire. There’s a slim chance that the girls will be returning after they finish their activities for their goodbye album, depending on how they feel. The issue won’t be dragged on for long, and a decision on what will happen will be made soon.”

SBS’s representative also raised the anticipation for their final stage by commenting, “We’ve prepared a stage that is worthy enough for all three members to cherish.”

Are you ready for ‘Soshi Garden’?

On an online community blog, several SNSD fans have created a hilarious parody of the popular drama “Secret Garden“, and aptly titled the collage, “Soshi Garden”.

In this parody, Jessica and Taeyeon were slotted as the main characters, ‘Gil Ra Im’ and ‘Kim Ju Won’. In light of their transformations, fans hilariously renamed the redux characters, “Tae Joo Yeon” and “Sic Ra Im”.

The rest of the SNSD members were cast into the parody as well, with Yuri being ’Oska’, Yoona as Oska’s ex-girlfriend, Sunny as the muscian, Tiffany as Director Myung, Sooyoung as Ju Won’s assistant, Hyoyeon as Ra Im’s best friend, and Seohyun as Ju Won’s mother.

It seems like most of the SNSD members were paired to their “Secret Garden” counterpart based on a resemblence of looks. “Secret Garden” and SNSD fans, what do you guys think?

Jo Kwon and Park Jung Min have a Kkap dance battle!

On this week’s episode of Strong Heart, 2AM’s very own Jo Kwon and SS501’s Park Jung Min had a kkab dance battle.

Jo Kwon revealed pictures of his top three best moments of kkap and proved to the audience why he is called “Kkap-kwon”. He showed off his “three levels of kkap dance”, ending it with his trademark vibration dance. After watching Jo Kwon dance, the MCs stated that Park Jung Min had also shown off his kkap dance on an earlier episode and he began to show off his “sexy kkap” by performing a series of waves and pelvic thrusts, causing the audience to erupt in squeals and screams.

Afterwards, the two had a couple kkap dance, making the fellow celebrity guest members explode into laughter and amazement. It was during the couple dance that Park Jung Min revealed his trump card: his butt dance, but his effort proved to be futile as Jo Kwon’s kkab ferocity overpowered Park Jung Min.

As Jo Kwon was crowned the winner of the battle, Park Jung Min stated that “while we were dancing, we made eye contact and I could tell that he had the eyes of a kkap god!”, drawing laughter from the studio.

G-Dragon reveals details on Big Bang’s comeback album

Big Bang’s leader, G-Dragon, dropped additional details about the group’s first album in nearly two years and three months, and asked fans to anticipate great changes as well as variety in their work.

In a recent interview with Star News, he revealed that all of their songs were done recording and that the album was in its finalization stages. The singer continued:

“The members of Big Bang have been working on the album very consistently. The overall style of the album is geared towards being public friendly with comfortable music that literally anyone can follow along to.”

I think Big Bang will be able to achieve great things this year due to some of the big changes that have been going on. It’s not only the Big Bang members themselves who have changed – the internal composing staff we’ve been working with has also been completely switched up. Consequently, there will be a lot more collaborations with foreign composers.

But one of the foreign composers isn’t Will.I.Am, who’s currently working with 2NE1 for their U.S. advancement. They’re musicians beyond what anyone’s guess right now. You’ll all be surprised once you listen later, so please look forward to a lot more variety to Big Bang’s image.“

As revealed earlier, the group’s comeback album will not feature any solo or duet tracks, and consists of songs with all five members. The album is scheduled for release on February 24th.

Pre-debut photo of 2NE1’s Minzy divides netizens on issues of body image

2NE1’s maknae Minzy has found herself to be at the heart of a debate between netizens on what would be considered as the ‘ideal’ body image.

Minzy’s audition footage from 2007 was recently posted on an online portal site, and netizens have been commenting on how skinnier she was back then. However, the 14 year old seen in the video has been labelled by some as ‘Bones Minzy’.

In order to provide a better understanding of the contrast between Minzy then and Minzy now, netizens posted a side-by-side comparison of the two selves. There were some who viewed Minzy’s current image as being ‘overweight’, as they commented, “It was only four years ago…It is surprising that you had a time like this” and “You gain more weight as time goes on TT Please lose some weight…”

However, others asserted that Minzy looked healthy and proportional, as they praised, “You still look very good!” and “It is better to have a little weight rather than being stick skinny!”

Kim Soo Hyun reveals which “Dream High” co-star is his ideal girl

Actor Kim Soo Hyun recently participated in a “Dream High” press conference with his fellow castmates, and he delivered an interview that left reporters feeling like this young star was wiser than his years.

Kim Soo Hyun began with his reflections on how the drama is faring in ratings. “I’m happy the ratings are going up, but the actors and the staff are not quite satisfied yet”. He added, “I would like to see the drama do well. We will show you a youth drama overflowing with passion and fighting spirit“.

Kim continued, “Until now, I’ve only acted, but singers have to act while singing and dancing on stage. I can feel them fill the screen with energy just from their performances alone. It was hard for me to bring myself up to par with my singer co-stars, but I think I will have learned a huge lesson by the end of this project”.

Reporters then turned to the topic of his rivalry with 2PM’s Taecyeon, who plays ‘Jin Gook’. “On screen, Taecyeon and I have an interesting tension through eye contact alone. So even when we’re not shooting, I tend to keep looking at him.” Then he jokingly added, “When I turn around, I want to see him again!”

Kim was then asked who his ideal girl was out of all of his idol co-stars. Replying with much wit, he answered “Suzy in the spring, Eun Jung in the summer, IU in the fall, and Taecyeon in the winter.”
