The idol shed her quirky style and emerged as a gorgeous woman with an enigmatic gaze. She playfully poses for the camera as the seconds wind down on the screen. The concept was to show a look that’s never been seen before to match the promotion for Nikon’s new camera, “Nikon 1“, which the brand promises is “a camera that has never existed before“.

Following in member Min‘s footsteps, maknae Suzy will be debuting in her first movie, ‘Introduction to Architecture‘!

Directed by Lee Yong Ju, ’Introduction to Architecture’ is a romantic film starring several top-notch celebrities including Uhm Tae Woong, Han Ga In, and Lee Jae Hoon. The movie follows the love story of an architecture student (Uhm Tae Woong) who meets a student majoring in music (Han Ga In) during an ‘Introduction to Architecture’ class. He falls head over heels in love with her, and the experience turns into a memory of his first love.

Years later, the student becomes an official architect and meets his first love again when she visits his office as a client. Suzy and Lee Jae Hoon will be playing as the younger versions of the two main leads.


On October 19th, a representative of the movie shared, “Suzy and Lee Jae Hoon do not have a big part in the movie, but they will contribute to the film with their fresh image. Despite the fact that Suzy is a rookie, there is a lot of anticipation for her film debut.”

The movie has already been garnering much attention, as it will be Han Ga In’s comeback film after 7 years away. Her last movie, ‘Once Upon A Time in High School‘, was released in 2004. Filming for the movie will start in December.

On October 15th, Rain’s sister, Jung Hana, revealed that she received a package and a letter from her famous big brother. She wrote, “A package came today. I didn’t have any thoughts about it since receiving it but after reading the letter, I cried. He wrote, ‘You are my most loved sibling in the world’…He also told me to give Baekgu [his dog] a bath which caused me to laugh hysterically. Haha. SECRET unleashed their teaser for “Love is MOVE” only a day ago, and it’s already reached over 100,000 views!

The teaser was revealed on October 13th at 10:00 AM (KST) through portals like Daum, Nate, and YouTue. It’s only been a day since its launch, but the viewcount skyrocketed to over 100,000, demonstrating the high level of anticipation for SECRET’s comeback.

In addition, member Hyosung placed 4th on Nate’s ranking of most-search Korean singers, falling just a little behind Lee Seung Gi, Oolala Session, and TVXQ‘s Yunho – further evidence of netizens’ interest in Hyosung’s dramatic transformation. ‘World star’ Rain bid farewell to his celebrity life a few days ago, but it seems like the celebrity life isn’t quite ready to let go of him.

Photos have been emerging on numerous Korean media outlets of Rain at his army training camp. Dressed in uniform and paying close attention to his officers, Rain looks every bit like the attentive, solemn soldier.

The army revealed the 1,400 soldiers that were recruited on the 11th of this month, which included Rain. He was placed in 5th rank and will begin training with the rest of the soldiers on the 17th of this month.

It’s just been announced that Big Bang‘s T.O.P has partnered up with Calvin Klein Jeans for the November issue of First Look magazine. The collaboration pictorial channeled the spirit of the brand’s originality, in addition to capturing T.O.P’s distinct charisma.

The photoshoot took place in Brooklyn, New York and was shot by renowned photographer Hong Jang Hyun. Outfitted in the brand’s winter military jacket and black jeans, T.O.P delivered an effortless, street-casual look. His coiffed hair and strong gaze also allowed his individuality to shine through.

T.O.P. expressed that as a fan of Calvin Klein Jeans, it was a great honor to work with one of the leading global fashion brands during the photoshoot.

On October 12th, Hook Entertainment revealed that Lee Seung Gi will be coming out with his fifth album at the end of this month. To boost everyone’s anticipation, they released a music video teaser for the song, “Alone In Love“.

Lee Seung Gi co-produced the song with Ra. D, and the lyrics express the excitement a man goes through as he falls in love. Narrated by Han Hyo Joo, the song also features a rap part. Hook officials stated, “Songs composed and written by Lee Seung Gi will be included in the album. Fans will be able to see a mature change to his style.”

“Alone In Love” will be released on October 14th.

JYJ‘s Jaejoong alarmed fans when he announced that he would leave Twitter if hackers do not leave his account alone.

On October 11th, Jaejoong tweeted, “It seems my Twitter was hacked. I don’t know who you are, but if you keep this up, I have no choice but to delete my Twitter.” Jaejoong did not reveal exact details on the damage, or how his suspicions came about.

SS501‘s Kim Hyun Joong revealed that he will be making a comeback as an actor at the end of next year.

Kim Hyun Joong held a press conference for the release of his 2nd mini-album, where he explained, “Since I released a new album only four months after my last album, there may be some people who feel that it came out too soon. However, I wanted to show off as much as I could during the Asia or perhaps world tour that I’ll hold next year, so that’s the reason I’m releasing my 2nd mini album.”


He continued, “In the beginning of November, there’ll be a new digital single, and in January of next year, I will release another album.”

Kim Hyun Joong also talked about his acting plans as well. “I don’t think I can be a singer and an actor at the same time… When I’m a singer, I want the fans to see me as a singer… The Asia tour will end next June, then right after that I’ll start acting. Later on in the year, I’ll come back to the fans through a drama.” He added, “If I rest for too long, I become lazy… I’m also slowly starting to think about doing movies as well.”

On October 11th, singer/actor Rain bid farewell to his fans before leaving to begin his military life.

At 1:10 PM, the star arrived at his training camp in Gyeongido, and fans burst into tears when they realized that this would be their last moment together before his hiatus.

Bowing deeply, Rain greeted, “Hello everyone. I feel like I’m causing a commotion again because of my enlistment. I’m sorry. I’ll do my best to come back in one piece.” Rain then took off his hat and revealed his military-standard buzzcut. He waved goodbye to his fans cheerfully, before heading in for duty.

Rain’s enlistment attracted over 1,200 people to the training camp and television channels like tvN and Mnet were present to live broadcast his leave. Aside from fellow actor Hyun Bin, Rain was the only other celebrity whose military departure was relayed live.

The world star gave his all before withdrawing from his celebrity career; he released a digital single, wrapped up his last concert ‘Last of the Best‘, and even participated in the ‘Gangnam Hallyu Festival‘. He will also appear in a special 90-minute pre-recorded episode at 6PM KST today through Mnet TV.

On October 11th, over 1,200 fans gathered in front of the military base entrance to say goodbye to singer/actor Rain.

The world star will officially be joining the army today through a base camp in Gyeongido. After five weeks of intensive basic training, the singer will move on to carry out his duties as a soldier.

Wave after wave of fangirls from both Korea and overseas flocked to the entrance area, diligently waiting for their idol’s arrival. Due to the massive number of visitors, numerous security guards and ambulance vehicles were stationed nearby as a precaution against any incidents.

A military personnel stated, “We prepared emergency vehicles due to the sheer amount of visitors. Accidents could occur, such as fatigue or physical injuries.”

It’s been revealed that YG Entertainment artist Se7en and 2NE1‘s former stylist Yang Seung Ho paid G-Dragon a visit while he was on set for his North Face photoshoot in Kangnam, Seoul.

In order to prevent news reporters from flooding the scene, YG Entertainment had purposely called in to say that the photoshoot had been canceled. Korean media outlets later reported that this was not the case, and that G-Dragon had completed the photoshoot as planned.

On October 5th, G-Dragon arrived at the studio at 6:00 PM and left the building around six hours later. When arriving, the agency van parked directly in front of the building entrance and prevented outsiders from entering the studio. After the photoshoot, G-Dragon discreetly slipped out of the building and left the scene.


An official from the photoshoot revealed that G-Dragon was (understandably) not his usual bright self, and the photoshoot had a rather gloomy atmosphere. The official stated, “The usually mischievous G-Dragon was nowhere to be seen. It’s unfortunate.”

It’s said that his close friends, Se7en and stylist Yang Seung Ho, came to the studio and stayed around 3 to 4 hours to lend G-Dragon their support.



A staff member present at the studio revealed, “Se7en is the hyung whom G-Dragon relies on the most. His expression became brighter as soon as Se7en stepped into the studio. Even T.O.P, who had already finished filming, stayed behind to show his support. But Yang Hyun Suk and the other YG Entertainment representatives did not appear at the scene.”

YG Entertainment has just released an official statement about their position regarding the issues surrounding G-Dragon‘s marijuana case.

In the documents released to the press, YG Entertainment stated,

We would like to sincerely offer our deepest apologies to all the fans and to everyone who appreciates Big Bang’s music.

G-Dragon underwent an investigation for smoking marijuana last July. Because G-Dragon had never smoked marijuana, we cooperated with the investigation confidently and proceeded as usual with scheduled events. However, according to the hair strand test, G-Dragon tested positive for minuscule amounts of marijuana, which shocked us.

While we were contemplating what the reason could be, we thought of the event that occurred in May during their Japan tour. There was a drinking event to celebrate a successful concert with various Japanese associates who visited us at the concert location. When G-Dragon went to use the restroom, a young person who seemed to be a Japanese fan recognized G-Dragon and offered him a cigarette as he greeted him. Out of courtesy, G-Dragon took two or three puffs, but upon feeling that it was different from normal cigarettes, he flushed it down the toilet right away.

We thought it to be a trivial event, and soon we were unable to remember that it ever happened. However, when we began to ponder over the reason for this positive test, that night’s event returned as the likely cause. We contacted the prosecution right away and related the event exactly as it happened.

Although there was no legal penalty issued, the guilty conscience and responsibility for causing everyone pain is a weight that G-Dragon and the company must now carry upon our shoulders, and it is heavier than any penalty.

As celebrities who have received a lot of interest from the public, and as a company who is supposed to thoroughly manage them, we sincerely regret the emergence of this situation, and have been self-reflecting on our carelessness. We deeply bow our heads as we apologize for causing you to worry once again, and we will try our best to make sure this type of event does not occur again.
