Flustered by the bold question, Victoria decided to give a neutral answer by saying, “I want to see Nichkhun, and I want to see my parents too.”

MC Park Myung Soo wasn’t ready to let go of the thread just yet. Though he persisted in asking for a proper response, Victoria showed her wit by combining her two answers, stating that she “actually wanted to see Nichkhun’s parents”.

KBS deems JYJ’s “Pierrot” is unfit for broadcast because of a purported slur against Lee Soo Man

KBS‘s review on JYJ‘s “Pierrot” has shocked both the trio and their agency. JYJ’s agency stated, “This is an unfair result of arbitrary interpretation.”

KBS revealed their song review results through their homepage on September 28th, where it was revealed that they had deemed JYJ’s “Pierrot” as unfit for broadcast. KBS reasoned, “This is a personal attack against an individual. The lyrics contain the word ‘P.S.M’ which stands for ‘President Lee Soo Man‘ [of SM Entertainment], and is filled with a personal resentment towards an individual.”

The review and explanation stunned JYJ’s agency. C-JeS Entertainment spoke with Star News on September 29th and said, “KBS arbitrarily interpreted the song without even taking the steps to confirm their interpretation.” “They never even asked whether it was a personal attack against a particular individual during the review process. There was no effort whatsoever in trying to understand the composer’s intentions.”

They continued, “Also, the song words were not aimed at an individual. As we’ve stated from the beginning, the song is about criticizing society in general, it’s definitely not a song aimed towards an individual.”

“Pierrot” contains the powerful lyrics, “I’m your pierrot it’s hilarious. I give you everything. My mind is worn out. There is nothing before money for you are a total pro, properly P.S.M. What else are you going to do to me. Take your dirty hand away. Don’t even put up with me. We are not the us of yesterday. Don’t try to trap us in a picture of that level. Take a good look at the world, it’s so beautiful. I’m not a pierrot.”

KBS interpreted those lyrics to be an expression of the conflict between JYJ and SM Entertainment. In contrast, SBS and MBC took the necessary steps to confirm the story and the intention behind the song with JYJ’s agency, and decided that the song was acceptable for broadcast.

JYJ’s agency has revealed that they plan to put in a request for a re-examination with an explanation on the background of the lyrics.

JYJ member Kim Jaejoong wrote on his Twitter, “A person has the freedom to imagine. I’m curious as to what kind of person’s imagination this is, and what kind of result will come out, Boss Fighting! Album fighting!”

Park Min Young chops off her hair for ‘Man of Honor’

Actress Park Min Young has cut off her lustrous long hair for the first time since her debut for her role in the upcoming KBS drama,’Man of Honor‘.

The ‘City Hunter‘ star will be playing the role of ‘Jae In’, a cheerful nurse who lives in hard conditions. “She thought that cheerful cropped hair would be better suited for the role than her long hair,” revealed a representative. “All of her thoughts are focused on making a successful transformation into Yoon Jae In.”

The title of the drama is a pun on her character’s name; while the title means ‘man of honor’, it can also literally mean ‘Young Kwang’s Jae In’. Young Kwang is the name of the male lead in the drama.

Aside from Park Min Young, the drama is said to have drawn a list of heavyweights including Chun Jung Myung, Lee Jang Woo, and Lee Jin (of Fin.K.L fame). It will start broadcasting on October 12th.

Boom and Super Junior’s Leeteuk to temporarily take over Kang Ho Dong’s position in ‘Star King’

It’s just been announced that Boom and Super Junior‘s Leeteuk will be taking over MC Kang Ho Dong‘s place in SBS‘s ‘Star King‘.

Kang Ho Dong‘s decision to temporarily retire earlier this month left the seat vacant for quite some time, and so producers decided to bring in Boom and Leeteuk to fill his role. Episodes with Kang Ho Dong will run until October 8th before recordings with the two new MCs begin.

Although it was previously revealed that Kim Sung Joo was the most likely candidate for the role, producers felt that a two-person position would be better for the show, especially since Boom and Leeteuk are known for their work together on ‘Strong Heart’ as fixed guests. Since their MCing skills have already been acknowledged by viewers, they became the most likely choice.

On September 29th, producers of SBS revealed, “Boom and Leeteuk’s positions are temporary and the producers will continue to work to direct the show down a new path.”

Aiding Boom and Leeteuk on the sidelines will be Byun Gi Soo and Jo Hye Ryun. A third MC position is currently in discussion.

NH Media cancels a day of U-KISS’s schedule to let the boys rest

U-KISS has canceled all of their schedules for September 27th to give the boys some rest from their extremely stressful schedules.

On September 27th, NH Media announced, “U-KISS will be canceling everything they have scheduled to take time off and rest.”

Since their “Neverland” comeback, the boys have been traveling all over the world to promote their album as actively as possible. Unfortunately, the fatigue and stress piled up, which representatives took immediate notice of. Recognizing that this could affect the boys’ promotions, NH Media decided to go ahead and cancel all activities to give them a moment to breathe.

On the 24th, the boys headed to Malaysia and returned on the 25th to perform on ‘Inkigayo‘. They then went over to Japan to handle issues relating to their visas for their future promotions. They still have music programs lined up, as well as a trip to Taiwan on October 3rd.

Representatives stated, “Their health and stamina can only take so much and it seems their limits have been reached. We were intending to focus on their Korean promotions this time but with the addition of overseas activities, they tried so very hard to work diligently in everything. Now, it’s hard for them to mentally stand the day.”

The members themselves said, “Although we tried to focus on just our Korean promotions, there were activities that we just couldn’t pass up in consideration for our futures. We’re trying our best to handle both at once, but fatigue is inevitably building up. We’re all young, though, so resting one day is already energizing in itself. We’ll come back with a more lively image starting tomorrow.”
